Dark or green streaking on the fascias, discolouration on the conservatory roof panels, or water marks running down onto the brickwork are all signs it’s been left a bit too long. If you haven’t had a professional UPVC clean in over two years, it’s probably time — the longer grime is left, the more it bonds to the surface, and some discolouration becomes very difficult to reverse once it’s fully set in.
Can you clean UPVC yourself?
For light marks on ground floor windows and doors, yes — a soft cloth and mild detergent is worth doing between professional cleans. The problem comes when grime has bonded to the surface.
